Anees Bazmee, who gave us the rib-tickiling ‘No Entry’ has once again shown his expertise in dealing with comedy. Fun filled absurd incidents and lot of commotion, the film has funny sequences and promises loads and loads of fun.

The storyline deals with Uday Shetty [Nana Patekar], Majnu [Anil Kapoor] and their boss, Sikander [Feroz Khan], who are comical gangsters based in Hong Kong. They want to get Uday’s sister Sanjana [Katrina Kaif] married into a respectable family.

This film focuses on Om (Shah Rukh Khan) who grows up in the seventies. This is the time when he meets Shanti (Dipika Padukone ), the love of his life but shortly thereafter suffers an untimely demise. Om is immediately reincarnated and the story flash forwards to the present day. Haunted by memories of his past life and his true love, Om attempts to solve the mystery of his death, and also reunite with Shanti, the love of his past life. Om Shanti Om is said to be inspired by the Hollywood movie, Chances Are, where a man is reincarnated and instantaneously attempts to find the wife from his previous life.

Dhol is a comedy starring four characters Sam (Tusshar Kapoor), Pakya ( Sharman Joshi ), Maru ( Rajpal Yadav ) and Goti (Kunal Khemu). The four characters are good friends as they all have similar views of life and leisure. Sam, Pakya, Maru and Goti have no aim or ambition in life. They want to live a happy, rich life with all the comforts but at the same time they are all averse to doing any kind of hard work. They want to be rich and successful without any effort.

Sam, Pakya, Maru and Goti are good friends because they have a similar nature. They are childish, funny, and naughty but at the same time fun-loving and good natured. They each try out various ideas and schemes to get rich quickly, but unfortunately none of their get rich quick schemes work. They are left disappointed and disheartened by their failure.
